Rick Lewis wins county judge’s runoff Tuesday

Former Justice of the Peace Rick Lewis won the Republican Primary Runoff election for Montague County Judge Tuesday, defeating former Sheriff Chris Hamilton, 1,395 to 1,018.
Montague County voters had a strong turnout for a run-off election, especially in light of there being only one county runoff. Voter turnout was 19.10 percent.
Lewis came out with 57.81 percent of the vote to Hamilton’s 42.19 percent. The Republican candidate won 11 boxes and Hamilton four.
