Drivers take on a huge responsibility every day

For Roger Ellis and Curtis Eldridge, serving a small school district means also wearing the hat of transportation director.

In Bowie and Nocona, these larger school districts have such personnel.

And finding people to drive school buses all over Montague County surely isn’t an easy endeavor.

“It’s challenging to go about hiring an employee,” Nocona Independent School District Facilities Director John Blim said. “There’s fingerprinting, and a background check. A lot of people get nervous about that.”
