Communities work to provide a holiday meal
There is no reason for anyone to go hungry or be lonely this Thanksgiving. To help fill those voids Bowie and Nocona are preparing their annual community holiday dinners.
In Bowie, the First United Methodist Church of Bowie will serve a turkey-day meal from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the church, 1515 North Jefferson.
In Nocona, the community dinner will be 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Nov. 27 at the Veranda Events Center. Christ Community Church sponsors the free meal, but many volunteers and donations make it a success.
