The Bowie High School team tennis group wrapped up the season at the Krum Junior Varsity Tournament on Oct. 30.
“The kids did really well,” Bowie head coach David Hall said. “We took 16 players, and 13 came home with medals.”
The tournament featured the following schools: Bowie, Denton Ryan JV, Argyle, Liberty Christian, host Krum and Bowie.
In boys’ singles, Cameron Gunter was second and Journey Page third.
Sergio DeLeon and Michael Shaw combined to place second in boys’ doubles.
Katelin Price recorded a second-place finish in girls’ singles.
The girls’ doubles team comprised of Meagan and Myah Russell was the champion while teammates also competed in the form of Veronica Hernandez and Ana DeLeon. Hernandez and DeLeon were in the consolation draw.
Maria Gonzalez and Jackson Gwilliam teamed up to garner mixed doubles. Stephanie Crawford and Clayton Ogg also competed for Bowie in the consolation bracket.
The spring season will gear up in February.
