MONTAGUE – Billy Joe “Fibber” McGee, 84, died Feb. 5, 2015 in Wichita Falls, TX.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Feb. 7 in the drawing room of The White Family Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
McGee was born Sept. 19, 1930 in Vashti to Fred and Effie (Caylor) McGee. He attended Bowie High School. McGee went to work in the oilfield as a rig hand until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Jimalea McGee, Montague; daughter, Marilyn Welch; two sons, Jeff McGee and Traci Prestwood, and Joe McGee, all of Bowie; one stepson; one granddaughter; one grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls at 4909 Johnson Road, Wichita Falls, TX 76310.
Arrangements have been entrusted to The White Family Funeral Home of Bowie.

  1. My prayers and thoughts for the family.. Fibber was a lifetime friend of mine, and I worked side by side with him for many years. He always brightened the day for anybody that knew him, and was one of a kind. He will be missed by all that knew him.
