October 17, 1920 – June 18, 2015
BOWIE – Jean Elizbeth (Stover) White, 94, passed away on June 18, 2015 in Houston. After a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s and bladder cancer she has gone to be with her Lord and Savior.
A viewing was from 6-8 p.m. June 29 at Davis Funeral chapel, 6428 Brentwood Stair Rd., Fort Worth. Internment was at 2 p.m. on June 30 at Montague Perpetual Cemetery in Montague.
Jean was born on Oct. 17, 1920 in Denton. She married Elvin Lee White in Montague on June 4, 1945. They had two sons Jonnie Michael and Danny Lee White. She and Elvin lived in Montague County for the rest of their lives. Jean was a devoted member of the Eastside Baptist Church in Bowie.
She participated in the church baking club and got great enjoyment in contributing to the Baking Goods Auctions held as church fundraisers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elvin Lee White; son, Danny Lee White; father, Hugh Burton Stover; mother, Tatie Lyle Smith; and her siblings, Juanita Stover, Francis Wayne Stover and Patricia Elaine (Stover) Pipkin.
She is survived by her son, Jonnie Michael White; grandsons, Hugh Michael White, Robert Raymond White, James Lee White and a great granddaughter, Rebecca Marie White.
Arrangements were entrusted to Davis Funeral Chapel, 6428 Brentwood Stair Rd., Fort Worth.
