The Bowie City Council got its first look at the proposed 2015-16 budget Tuesday night as City Manager Ricky Tow made the required July budget presentation.
The budget hearing was scheduled for 6 p.m. on Aug. 4. Councilors will gather for budget workshops at 6 p.m. on Aug. 13 and 14.
Total expenditures for the next fiscal year are proposed at $18,667,255. The general fund is budgeted at $8,583,071 and the utility fund at $10,084,184.
Compared to the 2014-15 budget, total expenses are down by $638,581. Read the full story in the weekend News.
