A traffic stop by Bowie Police last Friday night uncovered nearly $35,000 in drugs, a large amount of cash and netted two arrests.
The seizure occurred while officers were working a drug enforcement checkpoint on U.S. 287 and Farm-to-Market Highway 1125 in the city limits on July 17.
During the drug interdiction periods, police place a drug checkpoint sign ahead along a street and make periodic stops. Officer Bob Blackburn, along with Officers Brian Keating and Megan Johnson conducted the investigation.
