The federal disaster declaration for Texas has been expanded to provide Individual Assistance to six additional counties as a result of the severe storms, tornadoes, straight-line winds and flooding that occurred between May 4 and June 19, according to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
Montague County is in this declaration. In addition, FEMA today approved an extension of the deadline to register for assistance in the 42 counties designated for Individual Assistance. The new deadline is Aug. 27, 2015. Read the full story on the FEMA assistance program for those who experience storm damage during the spring storms in the mid-week News.
