LOCAL: Bowie Boosters help pay for new lockers

The Bowie Athletics Booster Club had a regular meeting on July 21 in the high school commons area.
The entire leadership group was present.
The boosters cut a check for $3,400 to help pay for new wooden lockers in the volleyball locker room.
The cost of the entire project was $6,800, which also was partially paid for through funds provided by the Bowie Youth Basketball Association (formerly known as Little Dribblers).
Bowie volleyball coach Jeanie Stark reported the lockers have been constructed already. They feature a locked cubby area. There also is a new wooden storage cabinet for uniforms.
Kevin Roth, Bowie, assembled the cabinetry.
The boosters discussed the parents meeting, which is set for 6 p.m. on July 28 in the high school commons. The leadership group agreed to have a meeting after completion of the event.
