Nocona’s Tales ‘N’ Trails Museum hosted its fifth annual Shebang fundraiser Sept. 19. The Volunteer of the Year award went to Jim Admire (pictured with museum board vice president Nell Ann McBroom). McBroom said the event turned out good, despite the current economic situation. Although totals were not finalized, she said she expects this year’s contributions to be equivalent to past years, despite the current economic situation. The funds will be used to help finish the museum’s new barn, which will house a permanent agriculture exhibit, an exhibit about the Johnson Chicken Ranch, frame shop, a classroom and more.
