BOWIE – Mildred “Kay” Allred, 90, died Nov. 3, 2015 in Bowie, TX.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Nov. 28 at the First Presbyterian Church of Bowie. Interment will follow.
Allred was born Oct. 28, 1925 in Durham, OK to Charles and Winifred (Ogle) Whitson. She married David H. “Rusty” Allred in Dalhart, TX on May 28, 1945.
Together they built and operated restaurants from 1959-1977 in Tuscon, AZ and La Junta, CO. Then they ranched in Colorado and Texas. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and active with the Friends of the Bowie Public Library.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Winifred Whitson; husband, Rusty Allred; three brothers and one sister.
She is survived by two daughters, Renee Logan, Waynesboro, VA, Gwen Allred Rhodes, Dallas; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Preston Whitson, Tulsa, OK; numerous nieces and nephews; and blessed with many friends.

Arrangements have been entrusted to The White Family Funeral Home of Bowie.
