The Bowie High School girls’ basketball team returned to District 3A-9 play on Saturday at Holliday.
The Lady Rabbits used a mix of defenses – and didn’t press as much as they could have – and still recorded a 46-20 victory over the homestanding Lady Eagles.
“Our conditioning is a big factor for us,” Bowie head coach Colby Davis-Pastusek said. “We have girls that play a lot of minutes, but we are still fresh.”
Many of the Bowie girls are involved in the off-season program, which includes participation on the cross country and track and field teams.
“We’re able to take away what teams like to do,” the coach added.
