A lack of depth spelled doom for the Forestburg High School girls’ basketball team in Saturday’s non-district 59-56 loss to Sacred Heart at Muenster.
“They have a little more depth than we do,” said Forestburg first-year head girls’ basketball coach Cori Hayes, “and Hope (Phipps) fouled out.”
Sacred Heart defeated Forestburg in December during a tournament, and the pair of games mirrored each other.
Forestburg dropped to 6-6 overall. The Lady Horns returned to District 1A-21 on Tuesday playing host to archrival Slidell.
Hayes was pleased to see the Lady Horns put up 56 points. But they had too many turnovers, and that was another factor in the loss. Read more in The Bowie News.
