The Texas Sportswriters Association has tabbed Nocona student-athlete Magye Fenoglio as a first-team libero.
Fenoglio also was named to the Texas Girls Coaches Association Conference 3A all-state team.
This season, Fenoglio was part of a Nocona team that surpassed 20 wins again, under second-year head coach Tiffany Clay. The Lady Indians finished fifth in the district.
Fenoglio accumulated an impressive 645 digs as one of the top defensive players in all North Texas.
She was also dynamic as a server, with 45 aces and a 91.1 percent efficiency.
Fellow District 3A-9 volleyball players Kamryn Weaver from Henrietta and Kayleigh Pappajohn of Boyd were second-team outside hitters.
Among the third-team selections were Boyd setter Morgan Abbott and Gunter middle blocker Mikayla Watson. Boyd’s Kenzie Todd and Henrietta’s Lizzie Riordan and Kenzie Kirk were honorable mentions. Read more in The Bowie News.
