Jury selection will begin on Feb. 29 in 97th District Court for the continuous sexual assault of a child under the age of 14 trial of Darrell Foster.
District Attorney Paige Williams said the trial will take at least a week due to the high number of witnesses.
The 55-year-old Bowie man is accused of multiple offenses that allegedly took place between 2009 and October 2014.
The investigation began in October 2014 with a Child Protective Service case, investigation by the Bowie Police Department and then the DA’s investigator.
Williams explains the case involved multiple offenses and places them into one major offense, which results in what she called a “super felony” where punishment ranges from 25 to 99 years in prison if convicted.
