The Bowie High School softball team wrapped up the Brock Tournament with two more wins.
On Friday, the Lady Rabbits topped Abilene Wylie by a score of 5-2. On Saturday, the team split with Midland Christian and Tolar, as the Lady Rabbits ran their record to 3-2.
“I was happy with the way we competed from inning to inning,” Bowie head coach Brant Farris said. “I am extremely pleased with our effort.”
Farris said the girls are learning terminology, and not yielding big run-scoring innings.
Bowie will play host to a tournament at the outdoor sports complex beginning on Feb. 25, taking on Petrolia at 8 a.m. and later facing Cleburne. Bowie also has games versus Cleburne, Southwest Christian and Springtown on Feb. 26-27.
Bowie scored three runs in the first, and capped off the victory with two more in the sixth over Abilene Wylie.
Callie Melton doubled and went 2-for-2, and Carrington Davis plated a pair of runs for Bowie.
