For the first time in 38 years, citizens of Nocona will be voting on a school bond election set for May 7.
The $15,100,000 bond is for a new high school and will allow all students to be moved into the main campus buildings.
The school board voted at a special meeting on Feb.18 to call the election for the bond proposal.
“We want to provide the best learning environment for our kids that we can provide for the future of Nocona, and this is the best way to do that,” said Dr. Vickie Gearhart, superintendent.
