NOCONA- Raymond H. “Ray” Reed, 80, died Feb. 19, 2016 in Wichita Falls, TX.
A visitation was from 5-6 p.m. Feb. 21 at Jerry Woods Funeral Home Chapel.
A funeral service was at 2 p.m. Feb. 22 at the First United Methodist Church of Nocona with the ministers Scott Melton and Larry Kruger officiating. Interment followed at Nocona Cemetery.
He was born May 14, 1935 in Montague to William Jennings Brian Reed and Lilian (Wilcox) Reed.
Reed married Mary Frances McCracken on Dec. 17, 1992 in Waurika, OK. He was a truck driver, did home construction and was a jack-of-all trades. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was affiliated with First United Methodist Church of Nocona.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Reed and baby sister.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Frances Reed, Nocona; son, Scott Reed, Iowa Park; daughters, Jana Behren, Wichita Falls and Darla Archley, Missouri; sisters, Frances Skinner, Nocona, Marilyn Lewis, Wichita Falls and Carolyn Blanton, Lake Dallas; brothers, Bill Reed, Denton and Roger Reed, Nocona; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Arrangements were entrusted to Jerry Woods Funeral Home of Nocona.
