Saint Jo ISD officially hires new superintendent

Curtis Eldridge was officially named new superintendent at Saint Jo Independent School District.

The board took the action on Feb. 4 following the mandatory 21-day waiting period after Eldridge was named the lone finalist. He signed a three-year contract which begins July 1.

Prior to the 2015 Christmas break, Superintendent Larry Smith announced he would be retiring at the end of the 2015-16 school year prompting the search. Smith ends a 38-year career in education with the last 10 at Saint Jo ISD.
