The Montague County Commissioner’s Court will meet at 9 a.m. on May 23 in the courthouse annex.
Doug Shaw, general manager for the Upper Trinity Groundwater Conservation District, will provide a report on Desired Future Conditions in the Trinity Aquifer. Hearings are underway in the region for the DFS reports.
The 2017 Montague County Tax Appraisal District will be presented and the 2016 Leadership Montague County graduation will be conducted.
Commissioners will consider the Montague County Child Welfare Board employing an administrator.
Other topics on the agenda will include: Consider a hiring freeze; two bids on tax sale lots in Nocona Hills; permission for precinct one to enter the Terry Brewer and Richard Trubenback properties on Dry Valley Road to repair damage and for precinct two to enter the Mitchell Spector property on Applegate Road to clear a fence row; and approve renewal of the ARTS agreement with the Texas Association of Counties.
