HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL: Bowie receives votes in 3A poll

The Bowie High School baseball team received votes in the latest Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association poll.
The poll was released on May 5.
The Jackrabbits are coming off winning a best-of-3 weekend series over Howe during the Conference 3A bi-district round of the playoffs.
Bowie will play Palmer in a rematch from last year’s area series starting at 6 p.m. on Friday in Glen Rose.
West was No. 1 with a record of 24-1, with Central Heights second. Shallowater was third, with Van Alstyne fifth and Clyde seventh. Sunnyvale also received votes.
In Conference 2A, Bosqueville is No. 1 with a 22-0 record. Beckville is second, with Chico fifth and Lindsay seventh. Windthorst also is receiving votes.
The Dragons are 23-0, the Knights 23-1 and the Trojans (19-7). Windthorst will play Trenton in a three-game series at Ponder starting at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Abilene Wylie is No. 1 in Conference 4A, with a mark of 22-3. Argyle is second and Godley is ninth. Read more in May 11 Bowie News.
