NOCONA – Jimmie “Levy” Walser, 91, died May 12, 2016 in Nocona, TX.
A visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. May 14 at Jerry Woods Funeral Home in Nocona.
A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. May 14 at Nocona Cemetery with the minister Jack McBride officiating. Burial will follow.
Walser was born Nov. 30, 1924 in Montague County to J.L. “Bud” Walser and Artie Sappinton.
He married Viola Frances Bowles Walser on Dec. 25, 1949 in Montague County. Walser served in the United States Army and was a small engine repairman.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife; three brothers, Leonard Walser, Jody Walser and J.W. Walser; and two sisters, Dovie and Icle Skinner.
He is survived by his son, Dammy Lee Walser, Duncan, OK; daughter, Shirley Campsey, Nocona; three sisters, Bonnie Weaver, Snyder, Dixie Atkins, Fort Worth and Peggy McBride, Nocona; brother, W.W. “Red” Walser, Nocona; two grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to any veteran’s program.
Arrangements are entrusted to Jerry Woods Funeral Home in Nocona.
