The Bowie and Nocona High School awards banquets will lead off a busy week of festivities on May 16.
The Bowie banquet has been moved to the Bowie Community Center with serving beginning at 5:30 p.m., followed by the program at 6 p.m.
The theme this year is “Decades of Stars.”
There will be one Hall of Honor of ceremony, plus sports awards given to athletes in various sports.
The cost is $15.
Bowie Booster Club president Craig Stallcup reported there will be an auction – which will serve as a fundraiser.
People will bid on select items, writing down their price on a clipboard. The highest bid will take the prize. Auction memorabilia has yet to be determined.
The Nocona banquet will begin at 6 p.m. at Nocona Elementary School. This banquet also has an auction.
Both the Bowie and Nocona banquets will feature a Tex-Mex menu. Read the complete banquet schedule in the May 4 Bowie News.
