Bowie Independent School District hopes to end its present budget year “with pretty good numbers,” but next year’s budget will continue to be very tight.
In a brief budget workshop Monday night, Chief Financial Officer Jonathan Pastusek gave the trustees additional preliminary budget figures as he awaits the arrival of certified property values later this week.
Reviewing the present budget year, Pastusek said the numbers look good. They will end the year with a much smaller deficit than anticipated. When the budget was approved last year, a $1.114 million budget was forecast. Read the full story in the mid-week News.
