Former Forestburg head volleyball coach Rosana Barbosa will be returning to the sideline for the 2016 season.

And she’ll be coaching in District 3A-8 against the likes of Bowie, Nocona and defending champion Boyd.

Earlier this summer, the Jacksboro Independent School District announced Barbosa accepted the position of head volleyball coach.

Barbosa said she enjoyed the time away. “It was a good time,” she said. “I enjoyed it. I was able to visit friends and family, it was much needed.”

Barbosa left Forestburg after the 2014-15 season, where she guided the Lady Horns to the playoffs in both volleyball and basketball.

She has been employed at Jacksboro as a Spanish teacher for the past year. Read more in the July 27 Bowie News.
