The Saint Jo City Council had a special budget workshop during its Wednesday meeting.
“We still have some tweaking to do in the general budget,” said Saint Jo Mayor Pro Tem Tim West during the meeting.
West estimated city leaders are roughly 65 percent through putting together the budget, which is expected to be finalized at the Sept. 14 meeting.
“They decided on salaries for employees,” city secretary Sherri Davis said.
Davis reported the fire department budget is virtually complete. Other budgets are still in a work in progress, including water/sewer and the municipal court.
