Charles “Chuck” Fisher

PLANO – Charles “Chuck” Fisher, 70, passed away on Dec. 31, 2016 in Plano, TX.
The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Jan. 6 at The White Family Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Jan. 7 at The White Family Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
Chuck was born in Cleburne to Ida and Gene Fisher on Nov. 23, 1946. He spent much of his childhood in Garland and attended high school there.
He worked many years in transportation in the oilfield before retiring in 2009. He entered the U.S. Army in 1966 and was stationed in Wurzburg, Germany for two years. He was a computer specialist and received an Expert Badge for rifle sharpshooting. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal for his service during the Vietnam era. He served for five years before his honorable discharge in 1971.
On Aug. 10, 1968 he married Kathy Brickey in Bowie. They were married for 30 years before her death in 1998.
Chuck was interested in photography and motorcycles and was a member of the Faith Riders organization for many years.
Chuck is preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Fisher, and his parents, Ida and Gene Fisher.
He is survived by his daughter, Kristi Willis and her husband, James, Plano; granddaughters, Kaitlin Evans and Jordan Willis both of Plano; brothers, Rodger and his wife Mary, Frisco, and Joe and his wife Cindy, Garland; sister, Donna Carroll and her husband Pat, Quitman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Arrangements have been entrusted to The White Family Funeral Home of Bowie.
