The Montague County Sheriff’s office is investigating a pair of vehicle thefts in the area of Wagonseller Road that may be connected including a stolen new Mustang from Patterson Auto.
Chris Hughes, chief deputy for the sheriff’s office, said the thefts were discovered and reported the morning of March 31.
Helen Roper, 1072 Wagonseller, said her Honda vehicle was taken from her garage sometime during the nighttime hours. In addition the thieves got away with her purse and credit cards that had been left in the garage.
The thieves then went down the road, abandoned her vehicle and broke into Patterson Auto stealing keys and a brand new Mustang.
