A board has been formed for the new Montague County Crime Stoppers program, and the paperwork to join the state organization is in the works.
Montague County Sheriff Marshall Thomas said he has been pleased with the response from citizens wanting to get involved with the crime-fighting group.
“The interest has been more than expected from citizens who want to help fight crime. We are excited to get moving,” said Thomas.
