It is expected to be a long night for the Bowie City Council Tuesday with a budget workshop tacked on to the regular agenda beginning at 6 p.m.

However, at the Aug. 1 meeting at the request of two council members and several citizens in the audience a new workshop was added to go through the proposal more thoroughly.
This year’s budget proposal totals about $17.5 million.
