FOOTBALL: Bowie Junior High opens at Henrietta

Bowie Junior High School football will open the season with games at Henrietta on Sept. 14.
The home opener is a week later Sept. 21 versus Holliday.
On Oct. 5, the Cottontails will take on Nocona at Jack Crain Stadium, with the seventh-grade game set for 5 p.m. and the eighth-grade tilt at 6 p.m.
Bowie will have additional home dates versus Jacksboro (Sept. 28), Boyd (Oct. 12), Brock (Oct. 26) and Ponder (Nov. 9).
Other away games are at Breckenridge (Oct. 19) and Paradise (Nov. 2).
Bowie aims to have three teams this year at the junior high level, including a combo squad.
