Lynn Lierly happy to return home to Nocona High

This is the first in a series of stories The News will be publishing as the new school year opens to introduce administrative changes within the county’s school districts.
Former Nocona High School Principal Lynn Lierly is returning to Indian Territory after a short hiatus.
Lierly was the NHS principal for seven years before retiring in 2013. He then drove “across the river” to Waurika, where he taught science for several years at the high school. However, when the assistant position became available, he took the opportunity to come back.
“Nocona is just home,” said Lierly. “Everyone is friendly, very involved and supportive – it’s a good place.”
