BOWIE – Bonnie Sue Adams, 73, passed away Oct. 16, 2017 in McKinney, TX.
The family received friends from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Oct. 18 at The White Family Funeral Home.
A funeral service was at 1 p.m. Oct. 19 at Calvary Baptist Church in Bowie. Burial followed at Briar Creek Cemetery.
Bonnie was born May 28, 1944 in Bowie to Floyd and Ollie St. John. She attended Bowie High School. She married Franklin Lee Adams on July 2, 1960 in Bowie.
Bonnie worked for the Haggar Slack Company for many years and later attended North Central Texas College to learn computer science. She worked as a cashier in the cafeteria of Bowie schools and retired from there.
Bonnie was a church pianist throughout her life. She enjoyed arrowhead hunting, antiquing, teaching piano lessons and volunteering at Bowie Hospice. She was known as Bma to numerous nieces and nephews as well as the many children she nurtured throughout her life.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lee Adams and son, Christopher Adams.
She is survived by her children, Mike Gaona- Adams and husband Joel Gaona-Adams, McKinney, and Angie Millard and husband Phillip, Hot Springs, AR; grandchildren, Geraldine Gaona-Ho, Jeremiah Millard, Joy Hope Millard and Jadynn Millard; brothers, Jerry St. John and wife Darla, Runaway Bay and Blaine St. John and wife Mary, Pearland; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Arrangements have been entrusted to The White Family Funeral Home of Bowie.
