The 22nd annual Chicken and Bread Days Heritage Festival takes place this weekend with new activities on Friday night, complimenting the traditional Saturday schedule.
The main festival will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Oct. 7 throughout downtown Bowie.
Admission is free and the public is invited tp kick off fall in downtown Bowie. The day will include arts and crafts, as well as food vendors, the kid’s tractor pedal pull and kid’s games, car show, live music and an art exhibition.
After the success of the Chisholm Trail Anniversary Celebration earlier this year, a Sip and Stroll evening has been added to Friday night. From 6 to 8 p.m. guests can sip local wines and shop in their favorite downtown stores. There also will be a concert with Monty Dawson.
