BOWIE – Clyrene Wade 91, died Oct. 6, 2017 in Bowie, TX.
The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Oct. 9 at The White Family Funeral Home.
A funeral service was at 2 p.m. Oct. 10 at the First Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Henson officiating. Burial followed at the Elmwood Cemetery.
Wade was born on March 5, 1926 in Antelope to Clyde and Exah (Crabtree) Barrick.
Wade graduated from Bluegrove High School in 1944. She married Loyd Wade on June 7, 1944 in Joy. She and her husband made their home in Buffalo Springs where she was a homemaker.
They moved to Bowie in 1952 and she worked in sales for Hagler Western Wear and as a secretary for Cunningham Office Supply for many years.
Wade was an active member of the First Baptist Church and the Faith Sunday School Class. She taught Sunday School and served on the bereavement lunch committee.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Artis Barrick and sister, Mildred Latham.
She is survived by her husband, Loyd Wade, Bowie; two sons, Kendrick Wade, Bowie and Gary Wade, Frisco; 11 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Bowie.
