BOWIE – Richard Laymon Wade, 69, died on Nov. 5, 2017 in Bowie, TX.
A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 9 at the First Baptist Church in Alvord.
Wade was born on Feb. 26, 1948 in Nocona to William and Sadie Vann Wade. He served his country in the U.S. Army. He worked as a brick layer, and was a vendor at many flea markets in the area.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Larry Wade and Junior Wade; and his brother-in-law, Clayton Gibbons.
He is survived by his wife, Faye Wade, Bowie; children, Will Weaver, Whitesboro, Wanda Felkins, Norman, OK, Max Weaver, Bowie, Carolynn Johnson, Noble, OK, Jimmy Weaver, Bowie, Alice Felch, Kyle, Kathy Tune, Bowie and Stacey McCullar, Nocona; 18 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; brother, Benny Wade, Richardson; sisters, Patty Fain, Bowie and Linda Gibbons, Kaufman; numerous nieces and nephews; and two sister-in-laws.
Arrangements have been entrusted to The White Family Funeral Home of Bowie.
