Jachyllis “Jae” Hogeland

NOCONA – Jachyllis “Jae” Hogeland, 68, formerly of Arlington, passed away after a courageous battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis on Sept. 24, 2018 in Dallas with her family at her side.
A memorial service was on Sept. 28 at Woodland West Church of Christ in Arlington.
A graveside service was at the Bellevue Cemetery in Bellevue.
She was born on Oct. 15, 1949 in Rock Island, IL, the daughter of Kenneth and Betty Webb. Jae married Jack Hogeland and they celebrated 47 years of marriage.
Jae and her husband were longtime members of Woodland West Church of Christ before recently moving to Nocona. She loved being home and raising her family, and later working for and retiring as an elementary teacher from Lancaster Independent School District.
In her spare time, she enjoyed nature, especially ducks, children’s books, singing, and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She had a contagious smile and great sense of humor. Jae enjoyed the simple things in life and shared that with all her family and friends.
Jae was preceded in death by her parents; sister-in-law, Libby Webb and brother-in-law, Les Hogeland.
Jae is survived by her husband, Jack; children, Heath Hogeland and wife Ashley, and Lori Gaskie and husband Ryan; grandchildren, Dean, Cooper, Ellery and Fallon Hogeland, and Cole, Zane and Witt Gaskie; brothers, Doug Webb and wife Barbara, Cecil Webb and fiancé Holly, and Bob Webb and wife Paula; sister-in-laws, Katie Butler, Margaret Hogeland, Maxine Shipp and her husband Don Shipp; and many nieces and nephews.
