Shebang draws big crowd for museum fundraiser

Tales ā€˜Nā€™ Trails Museum hosted its annual Shebang fundraiser this past Saturday night and one of the highlights is the presentation of the Volunteer of the Year Award. (Left) Nellann McBroom, museum curator, presented the arrowhead-shaped award to Larry and Joan Veale, Montague. They both volunteer in various aspects at the museum, and Larry is well-known around the area for dressing up in costume and making historical presentations at schools and other programs. The Shebang is the museum primary fundraiser for the year featuring dinner, live and silent auctions. About 175 were in attendance to support the event that provides operational funds for the museum.
