Former Muenster teacher indicted; turns herself in to law officers

Lynn Burge, a former Muenster High School teacher accused of having sex with students turned herself in on Jan. 4 to Cooke County authorities after warrants were issued for her arrest stemming from grand jury indictments.
The 32-year-old Saint Jo woman was indicted by the Cooke County Grand Jury on Dec. 28 for two counts of improper relationship with a student, a second-degree felony, and one count of online solicitation with a minor, a third-degree felony. Bond was enhanced on the online charge, which prompted a new arrest.

A grand jury indictment is not evidence of guilt. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
