Genealogy Society to meet on Jan. 10

On Jan. 10, the Montague County Genealogy Society will have its monthly meeting at the Bowie Public Library at 6:30 p.m.
Guest speakers are Dean and Katie Robinson who will talk about their home on Live Oak in Bowie built by Dr. William Callaway (1842-1931), in 1894.
They have the history of the Callaway family as well as interesting information regarding the home built by Dr. Callaway.
Callaway was a native of Alabama and served in the Confederacy and was present with General Robert E. Lee at the surrender at Appomattox.
