The Nocona Hospital District and doctors Len Dingler, Chance Dingler and Rusty West have announced the Nocona Medical Clinic, PA has merged with Nocona General Hospital becoming NGH Rural Health Clinic.
Lance Meekins, administrator at NGH, said this type of changeover is happening in many rural areas and many hospitals own rural clinics. Nocona Medical has been operating with Nocona General since the late 1980s when the three doctors brought their physician’s group to Nocona and contracted with the hospital.
“This will allow the doctors to concentrate on patient care and the administrative duties will fall under the hospital allowing them more time to see patients and possibly extend hours somewhat at the clinics,” explained Meekins.
