AgriLife introduces new ‘Producer’s Gathering’

The first “Producer’s Gathering” will be at 6 p.m. on May 2 in Bowie at the Bowie Community Center, 413 Pelham Street.
This is a new event to invite and encourage those in the cattle industry to attend and learn from some of the best presenters and current topics that are affecting you, the cattle producer. If you raise five or 5,000 head, this program is meant for you, said County AgriLife Extension Agent Justin Hansard.
This will be a sit-down steak dinner for cattlemen and their spouses for $20/person. The guest speaker is Kyle Weldon who helped write and publish, “Five Strands: A Landowner’s Guide to Fence Law in Texas,” discussing open and closed range law in Texas. He is currently a lawyer with Brown Pruitt in Fort Worth. Read the full story in the weekend News.
