Today’s marks 18th anniversary of Sept. 11

Today marks the 18th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks on America that killed 2,996 people in four separate attacks and injured more than 6,000.
Ceremonies will take place in New York City at Ground Zero where the World Trade Center Towers were struck by two passenger planes. A third plane crashed into the Pentagon and a fourth in a field in Pennsylvania.
Events are planned across the nation to remember those victims, all the first responders and all their families.
