Bowie Library offering mobile hotspots

This week, Bowie Public Library will begin offering mobile WiFi hotspot devices that allow you to connect a mobile-enabled device, such as a laptop, smartphone or tablet to the internet.
The 10 devices will be available for checkout beginning Jan. 25. The hotspots were purchased with the Texas State Library and Archives Commission Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Grant awarded to the library in August 2020.
Bowie Public Library was selected to receive a $24,598 grant to advance digital equity in Bowie/Montague County. Provided by the CARES Act, the funding was used by the library to expand digital inclusion efforts and provide technical support, especially for workforce development and broadband availability.
