County 4-Hers present program to commissioner’s court

While budgetary items dominated Monday’s Montague County Commissioner’s Court session, there were several other agenda items including a presentation by county 4-Hers on their activities.
Due to the pandemic the youngsters did not make their annual presentation last year. Attending were: Knolan Bower, Bear Bower, Kendal Wolf, Maddax McCullum, Spencer Jaroz and Bailie Nobile. Knolan Bower was the winner of a $20,000 scholarship from the Houston Livestock and Rodeo and will attend Texas Tech in the fall. Paden Jaroz, who was unable to attend, also graduated and County Agent Justin Hansard said he won an $8,000 scholarship from the Fort Worth Stock Show.
Hansard reported there are 149 youth involved in 4-H across the county in seven chartered clubs with 24 adult volunteers.
