Cecil Quinton Conyers

SAINT JO – Cecil Quinton Conyers, 96, Saint Jo, TX died on Dec. 27, 2021.
A funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. on Dec. 30 at the First Baptist Church of Saint Jo with Clinton Conyers, Ronnie Conyers and Pastor Mark McBride officiating. The burial will follow at Mountain Creek Cemetery in Saint Jo. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. prior to the service on Dec. 30 at the First Baptist Church of Saint Jo.
Conyers was born on Sept. 6, 1925 in Saint Jo to John and Anna (Benson) Conyers. He graduated from Saint Jo High School, and went on to serve his country in the United States Navy during World War II. Following the war, he moved back to Saint Jo and married Mildred King on Dec. 27, 1947 in Gainesville. He farmed and ranched for a while and later went to work for the Nocona Boot Company, retiring with 25 years of service. Conyers was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Saint Jo and served as deacon.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mildred Conyers; brothers, Loyd Conyers and Joe Conyers and grandson.
He is survived by his sons, Clinton Conyers, Bowie and Ronnie Conyers, Callisburg; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
