BISD to select construction-manager-at-risk

Published

on

Trustees of the Bowie Independent School District will consider construction-manager-at-risk proposals connected to the building of the new administration building when they meet in a called session at noon March 30.
Review of the recommended proposal will be in closed session listed under personnel. C.W. Farris of Harper Perkins Architects has been reviewing the proposals. Any action will be taken back in open session.
Other action items include a discussion of bids for the purchase and installation of a control access system for district facilities not to exceed $400,000. District officials have been discussing a keyless entry system for several years, but the costs have been prohibitive. The board may use some of its federal grant funds to pay for the project.
The board also will consider a resolution for nomination to the Texas Association of School Boards Superintendent of the Year.
