The 1A golf teams and individuals competed at the regional tournament in Whitney last week.
Unfortunately, none of them were able to qualify for the state meet by finishing in the top three.
The Prairie Valley girl’s team that won the district title finished seventh overall.
The Saint Jo boy’s team that also won the district title competed as well, but unfortunately their results were not available by press time.
Wind gusts and overcast conditions were battled in both the girl’s and boy’s tournaments, meaning scores were sky high compared to usual.
The girl’s tournament also had its share of inconsistencies from day one to day two.
Day one saw everyone play from shorter driving ranges compared to day two.
Prairie Valley Coach Lisa Sadler also said several of her players called out opponents for not counting their strokes properly, something she said was handled better on day two.
Individual and team results for the Lady Bulldogs were not available by press time.
As far as individual competitors, Bellevue had Cirstin Allen shoot 146,138 and Rosalie Christianson shoot 135, 144. For the Prairie Valley boy’s Tyler Winkler shot 139, 124.
