Primary runoff elections arrive Tuesday

Election day is May 24 for the Texas Party Primary runoffs with polls open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
There will be four locations where votes may be cast: Montague County Annex Community Room, Saint Jo Civic Center, Nocona Community Center and Bowie Bible Baptist.
As a reminder, if you voted in the March primaries, you must vote in that same party runoff. If you did not vote in March you can cast a ballot in either party runoff.
The Democratic Primary ballot has four places for voters to consider. Lieutenant Governor, Mike Collier and Michelle Beckley; Attorney General, Joe Jaworski and Rochelle Mercedes Garza; comptroller of public accounts, Angel Luis Vega and Janet T. Dudding and commissioner of the general land office, Jay Kleberg and Sandragrace Martinez.
On the Republican ballot, three places will be decided. Attorney General, George P. Bush and Ken Paxton (incumbent); commissioner of the general land office, Dawn Buckingham and Tim Westley and railroad commissioner Wayne Christian (incumbent) and Sarah Stogner.
Winners of the respective party primaries will face off in the November general elections.
